Dressed and ready to go at 5:40 am, the first hours of the morning held our prayers to our Sovereign God for strength, courage, peace and healing! Sleep eluded Dennis as he was battling some acid reflux and could not drink any water (presurgery restrictions). He was prepped for a 4 hour surgery and a recovery in ICU while still on the ventilator. We were advised that he may come off the ventilator today or tomorrow depending on how he is responding subsequent to the surgery. He is to receive a new valve and the surgeon will also do a bypass of a minor horizontal artery. ...The short term as well as the long term prognosis is excellent!
Thank you for your prayers and encouraging emails, "prearrival" cards, and texts and phone calls . Feel free to call or text to this number. I will be sharing these as soon as I can rejoin him. We cannot have flowers or any objects/gifts in the cardiovascular suites (hospital policy)...
